Biography:

Sara Hajdinac (1994) obtained her MA (2022) degree in History and History of Art at the University of Maribor Faculty of Arts. Her MA studies were finalised with the thesis titled »Activity of the Union of Slovene Soldiers in Slovenian Territories during the Interwar Period«, dealing with the heritage of the First World War in the region of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes, and later in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia.

She became a young researcher at the Institute for Historical Studies of the Science and Research Centre Koper. Currently, she is researching the phenomenon of Glagolitic movement in Northwestern Istria, which is also the subject of her doctoral studies at the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Arts. She holds interest in other disciplines in the humanities (philosophy, sociology, art, religious studies); in the field of history she her primary interest is in European history, with emphasis on history of the Italian Peninsula and SE Europe from the medieval period and up to the 21st century. Her secondary focuses are cultural and political history and the connection/interdependence of both those fields on one another, specifically the influence politics on culture in the widest sense of the word.
