The Mediterranean Health Centre (MHC), located at Pristaniška 45 in Koper, was founded in 2017 with the purpose of offering infrastructural support to the research and marketing activities of the Institute for Kinesiology Research.

Its future goals are to provide an important support to health, tourism and sport for the whole of Slovenia, and particularly the Primorska region. Extensive and modern measurement and diagnostic equipment enable to make further developments with the objective of becoming a unique diagnostic center in the Primorska region, intended also for various target groups – children, elderly, top and recreational level athletes, as well as the general population, that unfortunately lacks physical activity.

The FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence and Olympic Sports Medical Center accreditation will open laboratory’s output even more while enabling a broad access to the public and extensive integration in society on the national and international level.
